Our Story

How it all started...

In 2013, with the help of other like-minded believers, several friends and families started meeting every Sunday evening in Alvin, TX  at the La Quinta Inn. Nicknamed "Worship and The Word", those who met would have a time of worship, followed by time in God's Word.  After a short time, the fellowship started meeting at a small building in downtown Alvin under the fellowship name of Alvin Community Outreach. After a couple more years, Alvin Community Outreach moved to a shopping strip in downtown Alvin.

Expanding the vision...

In early 2017, after much prayer and leading of the Lord, the fellowship purchased property at 831 FM 2917 south of Alvin and planted a new  church, Chocolate Bayou Worship Center.  Since Easter Sunday, April, 16th 2017, we have continued to see God's grace poured out on us. Seeking God's will in God's Word, we are continuing to grow under expositional teaching.

Where we are headed...

It's our desire to be obedient to Jesus' instruction to make disciples and teach them everything He taught.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.  Matthew 28:19-29
